About Us

From the start, we decided that our goal was going to be the production of replacement cattle for the herds of our neighbors and friends in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. We focused on genetics to generate characteristics important for commercial cattle producers and kept the operation small and responsive to the needs of the buyer. And we keep in mind that different buyers have different goals. Thus, every year we produce a selection of bulls and heifers that are outstanding in certain sought-after characteristics, such as easy calving, growth to weaning, growth to yearling and meat quality, and the combinations of all of these traits. We also try to provide a range of prices compatible with current market conditions. Even though we started local, our bulls have gone to Kansas, Texas and all of the states neighboring Illinois. Please check our spring offerings for each year on this website, and please contact us early in the spring for the best selection. We are usually sold out by June. We really look forward to showing you our cattle and talking to you about your needs.

Our Morgan horse breeding endeavors have ended, but we are proud to have bred the two-time World Hunter-Pleasure Champion Morgan, LLL Tzar Alexander. He is now performing for his new owners in Oklahoma, and we are concentrating on producing champion Angus cattle for you.
